Schools and Anganwadi Centers Remain Closed for Safety
Nainital District Magistrate Vandana announced that all government, non-government, and private schools from Classes 1 to 12, along with all Anganwadi centers, will remain closed on Wednesday, 13 August 2025. The decision follows warnings of landslides, road blockages, waterlogging, and rising river levels, all of which pose significant risks to students and residents.
Almora and Bageshwar districts have also declared a holiday for the third consecutive day, reflecting the severity of the weather conditions.
